Steatite’s range of EN50155-certified fanless computers, rail-approved Panel PCs and monitors are designed for integration into modern rail systems. Our computers support a wide range of onboard applications, including driver displays, train control and management systems, CCTV and passenger information systems.

Different rail applications have different computing requirements, from processing power and connectivity to expansion and I/O. Our fanless computers are available in a range of configurations, allowing you to select the hardware that best fits the wider system. Industrial-grade components and thorough testing support reliable operation over the long term. Selected products are also available for 5 to 15 years from launch, supporting the extended lifecycles and long-term planning often required for rail projects.

For projects that require formal rail certification, our EN50155-certified computers have been independently tested and approved for direct installation on trains. We also offer EN50155-compliant systems that have been tested by the manufacturer against the EN50155 requirements. This provides an option for applications where formal certification is not currently required.

Not every rail application has the same requirements though. Where an off-the-shelf configuration is not quite right, our in-house engineering team can work with you to develop a solution around the application. We can modify existing systems or develop bespoke configurations to meet specific processing, connectivity, I/O, mechanical and environmental requirements.
